6 flags Maryland?

Anonymous
Wow, we nearly went to Six Flags water park this summer, but my kids are a little short for their age, so I was worried that it may be a long trip for little yield (not able to go on many rides). I have to say, however, that the park's "safety" ever crossed my mind. Well, I am always a little worried about amusement park safety (i.e., rides), but I generally assume that folks are headed to an amusement park to have fun, not rumble.

PG County + black people =/= gang activity and violence.

You'll be fine. It's a typical run of the mill Six Flags amusement park.

OP here - thank you PP for your insight. As a resident of PG County, a parent of a child in a PG County school, an a frequent visitor of places like PG Plaza, I am well aware that that equation isn't true.

Dutch Wonderland is probably our favorite. The other ones are special too - Busch Gardens, Hershey (although I tend to find it a little overwhelming. Our kids are only 4 and 2 though so I'm sure as they get older we will go to Hershey more often and DW less). Kennywood in Pittsburgh is a personal favorite of mine but that's because that was the park I went to as a kid.

19:12 here, thanks! I also love Dutch Wonderland, and am starting to appreciate Hershey (my kids are ever so slightly older than yours). LOVE Kennywood (also went there lots as a kid), but haven't been there with my kids yet. Probably next year when the little one can ride more.

Kennywood is ok, but Idylwild is much, much better for kids under 9. We really loved it, but now outgrown it.
