These are just exposing the weaknesses of both teams that they need to work on. No dog in the fight as my kid's team won't make the playoffs but hoping NoVa teams do well there.

Isn't a "trapped player" a player with a Fall 2010 birthday? Are they allowed to play down on 2011 teams?

If 2 players added to the opponent's team folded this team, they weren't that strong to begin with. The local competition is non existent across all age groups and beating NVA is not an exceptional accomplishment.

If I was an Arlington Fanboy, I'd have some solid concerns that 2 added players turned a team that got beat 6-0 around and flipped it into a 3-1 for them.

ARL parents didn't really complain much about it. They pointed out VAD had 2 players from 2010 that are really good players and ARL didn't and they were missing a player and a coach that may or may not impact the game. Truth to be told, probably did more or less. I didn't hear they think it was unfair for those 2 players to play with 2011.

VDA or my guess is other clubs parents want ARL to admit they sucks because they couldn't handle VDA with these 2 players and they are not a good team overall actually.

Late birthday are called trapped players. They are allowed to play down. VDA brought 2 kids (one is indeed a trapped player and another one is 2011 kid that has been played up on 2010). I believe everyone even Arlington parents have said they both are very good players while Arlington 2 trapped players just aren't as good and weren't helping the team.
