Lets pick this banter back up without the Capt Arl JSteele meme blockade. (Dont want the mods modding again).
So what is the issue with teams bringing down ultra charged up trap players. I look at it as saaavy long game coaching. Are folks really upset with this approach? Isn’t playing up looked upon as a good thing? |
Is that why the VDA thread was locked? Adults attacking a child? What is going to happen when the age groups change and those trapped players are regular competition for Arlington 2011? What will Arlington 2011 parents do then? Only one trapped player used by Vda on Saturday. Arlington used two. This should not be a point of discussion. |
there was a CA action figure meme. Like the other thread that’s probably what got it locked. And good questions. Is there an announcement to the teams when they are bought back in the fold? (Awkward). Our club never did this practice but down in the Carolinas one club does specifically to match up w and nullify players. Smart long game coaching… but is it controversial |
| I found it hilarious that the forum banned people from actually spelling out CA. |
How that thread got locked is a bit strange, did anybody really attack the player? Maybe I missed it but most responses were praising how good the player is. Seems weird and a bit bias on how the mods pick and choose to close certain threads that one could argue apply to nearly ALL of these posts. |

No one was complaining about trapped player and the 2011 that played up. They are amazing players. I believe the thread was constantly posting about the the superhero and make fun of the individual and team as a whole and that’s why it got locked down. Some comments were deleted before that as well.

, Teams have always been known to do this, it is within the rules and happens every spring. I think it is a bit of a weird scenario depending on the situation and this one definitely falls into that category, the trapped players that came are amazing players so lets not get my words twisted. This feels like a push to get the team into the last few spots for the playoffs using a couple players from the 2010 team, which that team is slated to make it to the playoffs as well. If their final push is completely hinged on two players making a difference for the to get there and only to be not available for them to be playing in the playoffs, what sense does it make? I mean, if the families are perfectly fine paying money to go to the playoffs out west only to not have the two players that helped get you there and everybody is on the same page, all good I guess. |
| IN before this got banned, JS is waking up now. |
| ASA 2011 couldn’t handle 1 trapped player |
| Settle down little guy. |
From what I gather, VDA had 1 trapped player and 1 2011 that has been playing up so she's part of the 2010 team played this past weekend against Arlington 2011. Both of them are great players and key players for their 2010 team. Arlington had 2 trapped players that not at the same caliber as these 2. Rumor also that one of Arl key players was injured and didn't play and their coach wasn't there. Sound like a bunch of excuses but VDA 2010 players (trapped or play up) created 2 goals for them with the 3-1 win and helped holding their defense. Arl beat VDA in the fall without any trapped or played up player 6-0. VDA won with these 2 players while Arlington lost with a couple of issues. Both teams have different issues. 2011 needs to be able to compete without their 2010 players helping them to the playoffs or they would not do well once they get there. Arl missing 1 player should still be able to hold their own in the competition if they are aiming to make the final and advance. These are just exposing the weaknesses of both teams that they need to work on. No dog in the fight as my kid's team won't make the playoffs but hoping NoVa teams do well there. |

Definitely a good thing for both squads to see their deficiencies.
If a teams goal is a national championship, there is a lot more that goes into it than a few players here or there, you really need the entire 18 to pull it off. |
definitely was a good game. DDs on different team on veo live were passing it around. I cant wait to them match up again fully loaded. Like a heavyweight match. All good players all around, AS with the vibrant motivation. Felt jeff cupish |
the post is public domain vs doxing. But hey it is what it is |
| I noticed at the Asist tournament 2013 girls with VSA and PWSI jerseys that were playing together. Does VDA start to have girls play in tournaments together as they form teams for the following year? Do they (VSA, PWSI, or VDA) do much at u12 to prepare girls for 11v11? |
