That's nothing. Often see foods for sale in small bodegas that are further past the exp date than that.

I think best by dates are kind of a joke. The marscarpone is definitely fine today and likely will be for a few more weeks. I'd go by smell.

Unopened plain yogurt (no fruit filling or sweetener) that expired 3 months ago.

I think it's fine. The whole point of yogurt is to preserve. If you see a news story next week about someone who died from eating old yogurt, you'll know I guessed poorly.

Eh, I wouldn’t mess with dairy this far past the date. 2 weeks max past on yogurt

I often eat yogurt several months past expiration date. And have used buttermilk that is at least 6 weeks past. I'm still alive.
