What are you washing your little one with?

I so agree with 15:13, who has the time to keep up with all of this stuff? We just switched to phthalate-free everything and hope for the best!

I also use the cosmetics database for everything.

California Baby is the best of that list. It is safe and readily available. I've never heard of most of the brands.

I just used the website that was posted above and my cleanser seems to be quite safe. It's Johnsons head to toe baby wash.

I use Aveeno Body wash...I switched from J&J, but honestly I don't know if it is any better

I always find this link to be of interest regarding SLS...

What I can never understand is why is doesn't rate better. I think there's a J&J or a huggies product that rates the same. Anyone know why California Baby doesn't rate that well. And I can't seem to find any other well-rated product that's readily available.

That's right. And apparently sheep-like gullibility is good for your baby (and you), question mark?

Kiehl's foaming wash for babies. It's awesome.

Wow. I posted the Safe mama link, leave to go to Whole Foods and look what happened! To each his own, folks!

Anyway, here's the link to an abstract of the study on phthalates reported by the American Academy of Pediatrics in February of this year:

It looks like Method is coming out with a line of baby and kid products sometime later this month, which may fit the bill as they claim to be pthalates and parabens free. I am looking forward to giving them a try, as I love their other products.

Nothing even remotely associated with johnson and johnson- they are majorly on the list of companies that make baby items that are detrimental- but also- i called them the dayh the news broke- the agents were not sure what this meant and had to struggle to answer- but they promised me they would call me back- and it never happened- maybe because the answer was that all the J&J shampoos and body washes I had were full of harmful ingredients. Tjis contradicts J&J's supposed image of facing issues likw when their tylenol was injected by some maniac with arsenic- they took them off the shelf and addressed the public. I guess they don't consider us moms a major force and just hope we disgruntle privatly.
