Though I'm staying away from Target and am minimizing Amazon.

Walmart employs many people.

No need to be rude. I'm asking those who might be paying attention to corporate America and where are the places we want to put our money. Best Buy? Walmart? Really I can buy a charging dock in CVS, I've never looked.

I always go to my local mom and pop electronics store to buy my InfiniBand adapters.

Walmart treats their employees much better than Amazon.

We need a new portable charger and that’s the sort of thing I would have absolutely grabbed at Amazon in the past.

Walmart prices are comparable

Walmart employs many at minimum wage, so that they need food stamps and other government assistance to survive.

Amazon is not cheap. The cheap stuff from amazon mostly chinese crap things that maybe cost pennies originally. Amazon just the convenience after you pay $150 membership.
Amazon convenience (generous return, same day delivery ) comes from the cost of other aspect. Its notorious that it is almost impossible to make money selling on Amazon, their hefty fee to sell there somewhat 40%.

Amazon is not even the cheapest option anymore for a number of things. I bought both new iPads from Apple because they were $50 cheaper on the Apple site than Amazon was selling them for. The biggest thing for me is the shipping cost. I used to get free shipping with Amazon which helped. I wish more stores would offer free shipping.

Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Walmart, Lowe's, heck you can buy a charger at Barnes & Noble.

MicroCenter near Vienna/Fairfax. Wide selection and lots of helpful salespeople.

Costco.

Micro center or Best Buy in person; Costco online. Anger used to be part of the Costco next program where you could order direct w/a discount. I have always voided Amazon bc their non-certified products can be a fire hazard
