6 for 2400??? |
| Aren't all HS allocated same # of guards? Maybe a few more at the larger schools Blair and WJ? |
|
| 18:41 Do you think teacher or staff will be able to "speak up" at these meetings? They have unions which are doing....?? |
|
What HS has 12 security guards?
If you haven’t been in a HS in the last 5 years you have no clue what it is like. This would make an amazing documentary. Most of the public would be shocked! |
Ok Mary we'll wait for your documentary. |
Yep. You can probably find it if you look at the at-a-glance document. There MIGHT have been 7 but definitely no more than that. |
Most are not brave enough to risk their career. The union isn’t reliable. |
Ones who are retiring can and should speak up! |
According to School Profiles, GHS had 7.5 security staff members last year. |

I was in Magruder for the 5 hour+ lock down. It sucked. Kids were not able to go the bathroom. Staff were begging for assistance via mass email and getting no response.
Did they honestly expect us to keep lights off for 5+ hours when kids are telling me the kid has already been arrested via twitter? Lockdowns can be worse than the events that trigger them. I totally get why kids would bolt out of the school if a lockdown is called. If you have never been through a multi-hour lockdown you should not be making the policy without the input of those that have. |
Thank you. That’s if they’re fully staffed and all come to work on any given day. My point was - not 12 |
Not only do they not know what it’s like to be in a lockdown, most don’t know or remember what it’s like to be in a classroom. Things have changed a lot in the last 5 years |
| It’s insane how tone deaf so many of the people in OSSI are. |
You sound deranged |
