A note for Central office conducting any post lockdown meetings with staff:

Get some F training.
You do not hold meetings after lockdowns to tell teachers and staff that "this happens all the time at other schools too and that other teachers and staff go through this too." Is that supposed to make a staff member feel better that their colleagues at a different school also has to face traumatic situations? Have the balls to set your foot into a school and teach and go through a F lockdown yourself before you open your mouths once again in front of a staff member. Did you tell staff what ACTIONS you plan to take to make schools "safer?" Are you waiting on parents to do the work that YOUR office should be doing?

Did you say a version of that directly to their face? You need to. This is absolutely unacceptable. Lockdowns should never be normalized.

Also, please sign the petition for metal detectors:

They need a lockdown at Central office is what they need to experience before they speak to a group of educators and staff members.

Bottom line: those working inside the schools are not ok. Are we as a community ok with that??

It’s going to take some deaths and even then they will not care. I blame the BOE as well

There are probably a dozen security guards for schools that have 2000+ students. With the size of these HS, each HS probably has more than a few dozen doors leading in-out.

I know Gburg HS has 6 security guards when they’re fully staffed. GHS has about 2400 students.
