It is indulgent. Probably overkill for most people. But I can cook everything my family needs in it. I rarely have to turn on the full oven, which is great in summer. My kids (teens) can use it without supervision. It has app connectivity, which is helpful to me because I'm disabled (getting up to check/adjust the oven is hard sometimes, and now I don't have to).
It's undeniably a splurge, and I am SO glad I got it. Plus, Breville's CS is amazing. I had an older model that started to smell slightly plastic-like at high temps. Contacted CS and they sent a new one, which got here before I sent the old one back, no charge.
It is slower than a standard toaster, but it can make 8 slices of toast at once. I have no complaints about it. 10/10 would recommend.
