Like others said, if you aren't strength training, you won't bulk up. I had six months of rowing 3500 meters with zero change because I was on a fairly slow pace (like 2:30/500M). That said, once I started pushing myself more, I started seeing my arms getting more toned. I can't say much else has changed.
