You need someone you know and trust to do you a favor and reciprocate in turn. |
It is true They need to be more careful about who transports their children. |
Where is your location? Maybe available .I know someone |
It does exist. I would do it, but they got to be in my neighborhood. I'm doing it for my old job now. I show up when they need me and leave the minute they don't. I don't need to work for money, but sitting at home is also getting old. It's just something to do to fill my day and get my steps in. |
I have known families who have used teachers at daycare/child's school for this. The teacher lived nearby and was willing to do it for extra $. Not sure if they had to clear it with the school. |
This is exactly the job my sister does as a retired teacher. She works in the neighborhood from 2-6 pm. The family gives her 100$ per day in cash, paid daily. She often babysits in the evenings for various families. She has mornings for doc appts and water aerobics, etc |
someone in the neighborhood is your best bet for this type of schedule. or two people. |
Does she just do it occasionally when parents have a work/other schedule conflict? Or does she do it on a consistent level? I would imagine a huge benefit of retirement for a teacher would be no longer being beholden to the school calendar for scheduling vacations. |
I would initially ask around…..perhaps other families w/children can recommend someone they previously used.
You can also spread the word through friends/neighbors/co-workers/etc. what you are looking for. Good luck. |
