Wrong. Gulf Mexico, Panhandle area

January–February: 64° F
March: 66° F
April: 72° F
May: 78° F
June: 82° F
July–August: 84° F
September: 82° F
October: 77° F
November: 72° F
December: 68° F

Panhandle temps are SIGNIFICANTLY lower than South FL.

Congrats, you figured out the obvious. Would you prefer a cookie or a pat on the head?

Yeah, because no one is going to the panhandle for vacation in spring. Why do you need this explained to you?

But that's not the issue. The issue is why your DH is inserting himself and second guessing your choice. Is he being a cheapskate and bulking at the prices?

He hates to fly in general. The longer the flight, the more unhappy he is. Unfortunately, I booked late, so our flight is not direct.

Fort Lauderdale-Miami will be warm.

I lived there. We never went in unless it was 80 water temp. Snowbirds used to 65 on the Cape may manage.

For someone from DC or further north? Totally warm enough. If you’re from the south then prob not.

Florida is so trashy.

Most people arent vacationing in the panhandle area, dummy.

The east coast is even colder, much colder than the Gulf.

It’s irrelevant. You discussed booking a trip. You were in charge on booking said trip. You did. That’s it.

Average April water temperature in Miami is 77. Maybe I’m a wimp (and yes, as PP said, a southerner) but if it’s not above 80, I’m not going in, and to be honest I like it even warmer than that. So I say Caribbean.

Hey stupid, the panhandle area gets 10m visitors a year. Which was not the point, obviously. Are you always this stupid or just on DCUM?

No need to answer, I already know.

Yeah, for Orlando, not for the beaches. If you really thought posting panhandle water temps was some kind of meaningful contribution to the discussion, then youre incredibly dumb and socially clueless.

Orlando isn’t on the panhandle, dummy.

S Beach worked great for us end of March last yr on the beach and in the water. You absolutely do not need to trek further out.

I'm with you on that. I don't even get into our pool until it's in the 80s.
