He probably locked the other thread because it wasn't getting anywhere, and, just so you know, MCPS is doing a full day today (with cancelled after school activities, I imagine).
Snow isn't accumulating until 5pm according to most recent models. It's plenty of time for even tier 2 elementary buses to drop off kids in their neighborhoods.

I'm shocked they made the right call today! My usual rule is: What do I think it reasonable? MCPS will go one step further. I think they should be open all day, and MCPS closes early.

MCPS just posted their message doubling down on no early dismissal. Bus routes will be delayed because of limited visibility, but no worries. 🙄
