What is the point of kids posting on the class of 2029 (insert college) the following:
“Hi, I’m larla and I am 95% committed to (insert college). I love hanging out with my friends and I’m looking for a roommate.” |
| Hi, I’m Larla and (insert college) is one of my top 4 choices! I love listening to music and I’m looking for a roommate.” |
With a bikini picture and more thirst traps to follow. I hate that term, but I can’t take it. My oldest went to a very nerdy school and this wasn’t a thing, youngest is at a mid and it’s very much a thing. Telling myself this isn’t representative and they post on all sorts of college. Or so I hope! |
Can you tell me the nerdy school so I can recommend it to my daughter? Those pages are scaring her off from colleges. I keep telling her that there are people like her who go to them, they just would never post. Hope I’m right! |
I think it’s just living for 47 years and never hearing the term and then hearing it 100x a day here. Clearly it’s just me 😂. As a disclaimer, I do come from a small state with only one public university. So we had no need for such a term. |

Appreciate the response, the caps made me extra curious! I was happy to join in, just wanted to understand where to direct my annoyance. 😂 |
One of the ivies. It’s not a thing at top schools. It would be interesting to see what US news ranking it becomes one. 😄 |

Bloodbath….yes! |
To answer the question, it’s to get followers and post on lots of colleges. Kids all start following each other so it’s an effective way to mass add. |
