My kid has Covid. We thought it was the flu.

The CDC tracks what's going around and posts the data here (at least for now): https://www.cdc.gov/nrevss/php/dashboard/index.html

No, it was at the doctor's office.

Does anyone have an anecdotal idea about how many kids missed school this week? And what horrible illness is this? I know some kids tested positive for flu and then there’s strep and norovirus. Covid too?

Dang, I don't miss that at all. It just stressed me out, while not affecting my behavior. If I'm going to visit an elderly relative, I'm going to be insanely careful whether there's flu circulating or not.

My kids' elementary has mainly flu, plus lice (fun!). The school where I work is a mix of flu and norovirus right now. This time of year was a pain before Covid too.

clean your house with bleach let it sit for 10 minutes. This is the only thing that kills norovirus.

Later last year was pneumonia, and then early this year is likely Flu A.

CDC posted a warning that at least 2 birdflu -> cat -> human cases had been confirmed. But this notice was taken down shortly.

My husband just got over Covid, and my daughter and I have some stomach virus.(luckily we did not catch the covid). Last week she had an upper respiratory illness. The urgent care doctor said that Covid, flu, norovirus, and walking pneumonia are big this month.

People complaining are exhausting as they are the same peole who will not mask and stay home when sick so of course it spreads like wildfire in schools.
