Beautiful lodge (mountain/lake) near an airport in continental U.S.

Look in and around Jackson Hole. There are a ton of lodges, ranches, cabins, and other options there, and you'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful mountain/lake location.

+1 we have gone there for multiple multigenerational family events and love going back again and again.
Beautiful in every season. Things to do for everyone no matter your mobility/activity level.

One option is to fly into Kalispell and stay in Whitefish. YOu could stay in Whitefish Lodge, which has some condos, but if it's for this summer, you might be too late. There are also some fantastic lake homes in Whitefish and Flathead Lake.

Altitude up there may be rough for elderly folks coming from sea level--the Broadmoor is at about 6000 feet and Cloud Camp is closer to 9000. My FIL used to have a hard time visiting us in Colorado Springs.
