Kids With Special Needs and Disabilities
| Oh, I see the therapist told you. So now what you have done is reenforced the feeling in the parents that they have to treat this like a shameful secret. By quitting when you found out, without even trying to talk to them, you tell them that telling people the truth has consequences and that this diagnosis will lead people to shun their child. Sorry, you behaved shamefully. |
So for all you know this could have been a misunderstanding or even information that they may have thought you already knew? It seems like you acted very hastily. Based on these facts I can't conclude that they deliberately hid any information from you. There are too many parties involved and you did not give them a chance to explain. And as another poster pointed out, therapists don't diagnose. This could have just been her opinion. |

"Given teh important nature of a nanny's job, trust and information is paramount because the nanny cannot do her job without it."
This. |
| Nanny did not extend trust to her employers. She had no idea if there is a definitive diagnosis, she just threw up her hands because she heard the A-word and ran. Sorry, no way will I accept the nanny was the aggrieved party here. She was just looking for cover for her rash reaction. |
