I thought they only have 1/3 that’s legacy/siblings?

Everyone wishes that is the number but Trinity has generous sibling policy so if you add siblings, legacy, and faculty and staff, it is more than 1/3.

They, on their website, explain that only 35% of spots go to “new” families, i.e., not legacy/siblings. That means 24.5/70 acceptances to unhooked families or a roughly 4% chance of getting in.

DC got waitlisted at HM. Is it generally a soft No?

Try to find out where they are on the waitlist. In past years they do give almost all waitlist but their waitlist also sometimes moves.

Waitlists can move a bit especially after the Isaagny school results come out a few days later.

Thanks! Is it the case that these schools all just give waitlist instead of rejections?

Any tips about finding out where DC is on the list? HM asked not to call them in the decision letter. We didn’t get any feedback from preschool director about HM either so very little information

Anecdotal but I know a family who got off the HM waitlist last year. They heard just a few minutes before the deadline.

Congrats!! This is one of my top choices for DS next year. Would you mind sharing anything that you think helped or set him/your family apart?
