I was horrified and could not breathe. They had super massage chairs and thorough manicurists otherwise. But even with a mask and a sweater I could smell awful chemicals.
Where can I go in MD and DC?

This is normal.

If you are concerned about “awful chemicals” see the recommendation above for NIB.

Be careful with Kerasal - I used it and it actually made my feet crack and bleed. I'm sure it doesn't do that for everyone but use it judiciously at first!

I got yelled at for being lazy when I asked this same question a month or two ago 😂

So I got with the program and started exfoliating my feet right after a shower with a Dr Scholls foot file; then a layer of AmLactin; then a thin layer of Vaseline; then socks. I be darned if that did not actually work after a few weeks. Now I wonder what other beauty routines I have been too lazy about.

AmLactin does not smell btw - what smells is the urea creams. Also I use coconut scented shea Vaseline.

Stop wasting your time, drive to McLean, and see Daniel at Eclipse. You won't be sorry. (This was me that posted last year too).

Nothing in Between in Tysons, Falls Church and Alexandria. In Tysons at least they use basins for pedicures, which is more hygienic than those soaking chairs, even when lined with plastic.

I loved my pedicure at azalea city nails in Takoma park. $$ and hard to get an appointment but such a nice experience
