Ugh. My insurance co is no longer covering my Moujarno

Problem is they didn’t tell me that so I’ve wasted a month trying to get a drug they previously covered for me last year approved. Plus, now I can’t get an appointment with the designated weight management people until mid Feb to find out what I need to do to get it covered. I asked if it went against my deductible for the year if I pay out of pocket in the meantime, and they said it doesn’t if it’s not approved. That doesn’t make sense to me but nothing about this makes sense to me. I guess they want me to be fat and have high blood pressure again?!

This is smart and normal protocol.

Even my endocrinologist made me go through a series of things including insulin for a while to combat insulin resistance before putting me on one (for Diabetes Type 2).

Compounding is supposed to go away in March, but you can stockpile if you need to for the next year. Otherwise, you can go to Lilly Direct for Zepbound.

It probably won’t be easy, but your doctor may be able to get authorization for you to be on a maintenance dose of Zepbound by explaining that you received clinical benefit from Mounjaro since they’re the same drug. That is if Zepbound is in your formulary.
