winter airplane attire for overnight flight

I am a mean grinch but I hate all of these outfit suggestions. Nope. I just wear comfy jeans and a sweater and pack a change outfit. At this time of year I would pack a cashmere sweater, black, dark stretch jeans with a flare, I like the mother ones, and I’d wear my slip on low lug sole boots on the plane.

I'm the Vince sweater poster, and I LOVE the look you posted for daytime. As to comfy jeans to sleep, I just can't get that comfortable in even loose jeans on a plane. And the amount of time you have to actually sleep is limited after they serve the meal.

Yeah. Just change clothes at the airport in Paris.

Do you have those?
Don’t they pull horribly?

Who in the world would bother spending $250 on a pair of pants to wear on a PLANE while SLEEPING? That's ridiculous.

I agree this outfit is comfy (I have pretty much the exact same one and have worn it many times) but it’s quite dated/mid-2000s, which is why I’ve stopped wearing it. I know it’s just the airplane, but OP seems to be looking for something somewhat fashionable and this is not fashionable.

OP, if you want to essentially wear pajamas on the plane (as opposed to a real outfit), I’d go with a matching set over this.

Yes I have and love - they will start to pill, as all lower priced cashmere like nordstrom and quince does (I know the cash-soft isn’t full cashmere), but I just use a cashmere comb and it neatens right back up. For a one week trip I wouldn’t bother, it will look fine.

obviously i’m the odd one out but I need to be comfortable on a plane and I find they are always freezing no matter what time of the year it is.

So if you see me i’ll be the lady in my most comfortable sweatpants, on clouds and a hoodie. And i’ll have more appropriate clothes to change into when we land.

I wear LEATHER leggings on overnight flights to europe. They breathe, keep me warm & comfortable, plus I look badass when i get off the flight. I wear a top plus a ba&sh or maje cardigan. Fly w a bare, super-hydrated face plus eye mask. Put on your makeup upon arrival in airport. Do not arrive/walk around in paris wearing athletic gear.

While in Paris, I'll mainly be wearing jeans, wide leg trousers, or skirt/dress with tights if it's warm enough. But none of those options are very comfortable to sleep on the plane. I'd just wear leggings, but we'll be arriving early and sightseeing before we check in to our hotel and I don't love that look for wandering around/going to a museum. In the summer I love to wear my light-weight athleta wide leg pants but they are way too thin and cold for winter.

Ideas?

I’d get a cold-weather version of the athleta pants - something like https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E470731-000/00?colorDisplayCode=08&sizeDisplayCode=006&utm_campaign=%7Bcampaign%7D&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=%7Basset_id%7D&campaignid=22080367190&asset_group_id=%7Basset_group_id%7D&location=%7Blocation%7D&device=m&network=x&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADwNkrIA94ID9Phsh8hfT-GVs4sYF&gclid=CjwKCAiA-ty8BhA_EiwAkyoa38G8ZTYP_csssSb2lCV_LlmdQoNvi3GcqMnOoK5y-FLesH1snvaahxoCj1oQAvD_BwE

The J McLaughlin pants that a pp posted above are a good sub as well, they aren’t wide leg but are very comfortable, a thicker weight (almost like a ponte) and are all around excellent pants for wearing for work or pleasure travel or just a long day since they dont wrinkle but look polished.

OMG, no. Stretched out leather pants look awful, not badass.
