We're doing an overnight flight to Paris in February and I'm stumped on what to wear on the plane. While in Paris, I'll mainly be wearing jeans, wide leg trousers, or skirt/dress with tights if it's warm enough. But none of those options are very comfortable to sleep on the plane. I'd just wear leggings, but we'll be arriving early and sightseeing before we check in to our hotel and I don't love that look for wandering around/going to a museum. In the summer I love to wear my light-weight athleta wide leg pants but they are way too thin and cold for winter.
Ideas? |

wear the athleta pants with long johns/uniqlo heat tech pants underneath. also use a packing cube for your arrival day sightseeing outfit - when leaving bags at your hotel, easily change in the lobby restroom. I've done this multiple times when traveling to Europe in the winter.

| Jeans or other pants in your carryon. Change out of leggings before you exit the flight or the airport. Its not that hard. |
| On my last couple of cold-weather flights, I wore these: https://nymag.com/strategist/article/ann-mashburn-faye-pants-high-sport-dupe.html |

| cashmere drawstring pants. |
| Elastic waistband pants and a cozy sweater |

I have a matching set by Varley that I wear to WFH and also on overnight flights - it’s super soft and comfy, but also decent looking enough that you could walk around a European city in the morning in it.
There are different pieces, but I have the cropped sweatshirt (Davidson?) and the slim cuffed pants. I bought it at Anthropologie. |
Yep. I always feel grungy after a long flight so would tuck some clean clothes in my carry on to change as needed. You could also just schlep your suitcase into the restroom after baggage claim and change there. |
| Lounge clothes (I have a few merino wool or cashmere sets) and since I travel carry on only, I can get changed whenever I want. Usually first class has a few large bathrooms to change in/shower as well. |

I wear a long charcoal gray Vince cardigan (no buttons, hits just above the knees, 3/4 puffy sleeves, with a shawl collar--could act as a hoodie) with a black 3/4 sleeve t-shirt dress the same length as the sweater (not 100% cotton, so it doesn't wrinkle), black ankle tights and black flats. To sleep I pull on the socks with the rubberized bottoms (cheap ones to throw away when we land.)
I'm ready to go as soon as we arrive in Paris. |
| Gap cash-soft wide legged pants, with the matching crew neck sweater (the hooded one is very cute but the crew neck looks more outfit and less gym clothes). |
