| Why are they all going down whip Salesforce is up? Did they make some deal with China? |
Because Salesforce is a user of AI tools, but not a creator...so it's a win for Salesforce to have access to much cheaper models. Apple is also up today because ironically, it's behind in the AI arms race, but now people are thinking that doesn't matter much...and better they aren't spending $60BN or $80BN trying to catch up in 2025. |
This is awesome. The more people that get wiped out the better. I don’t own a single share of NVDA stock. Sold it all in November after having transformed $575K of NVDA stock purchased during COVID into $12M today. Now I’m all in on BA, CVS, HSY, and NKE. My BA stock alone has grown from $3M in November to $3.9M two months later. My portfolio is crushing the S&P 500 at every turn. It’s so easy to do…just don’t be a mindless lemming and fear-driven coward like most fools. Can you say double-masking?!? |
| I lost money in the past by panicking. Lesson learned. Only have about $5k in Nvidia (probably now worth $4k or less I suppose) but have seen wild swings in Nvidia in the last year. It's fun to watch. Lesson is don't panic, hold for the long run. |
Ag, i was confused because my portfolio went up, but it is salesforce heavy. |
| Does anyone wonder if this is actually true? Has anyone explained how they spend millions when other companies are spending billions and most of the cost is going towards computing power? |

I dropped out of a Top Math PhD program a decade ago. Over 70% of the students in the program were Chinese students. They were very good and were very willing to collaborate. China is a big country and that's an advantage. As a result they have a deep tool of talent.
Now the media is in awe over the fact that they found a more efficient algorithm. We are losing our smartest kids away from pure mathematics and physics into applied statistics because our universities are under pressure to produce market ready workers. Well now we are starting to see the consequences of letting corporate America dictate our educational model. Today I work as a computational fluid dynamics scientist. People like me are still needed but I am afraid wall Street does not think so. We need to respect the talent from China and at the same time stop overvaluing our tech products. The reason our tech is so dominant has to do with their financial model and monopoly. Many Americans may not be aware but we have less and less choices as far as product. And now they are going to get even bigger. |
| I just bought $50k of Nvidia stock. |
In a couple of weeks we still start hearing they "cheated" lol. God forbid they have good engineers as well OMG that can't be. |
So all the data they collect for customers will going into their meta search AI functionality which the Chinese will be able access. |
Right now, LLMs work through brute computing power. That's why it costs billions and why Invidia prints money. If they've figured out AI with out the first L of LLMs that's one of the biggest break throughs in the history of computer science let alone AI. It's not a matter of good engineers, it's reinventing AI to not rely on computing power. Call me skeptical |
| But good news all, Tik Tok is still available! |
| Can’t wait. Buy low. |
Supposedly through channel checks, folks now believe DeepSeek amassed 50,000 Nvidia N100 chips before export controls kicked in, but they can't advertise any of that with their press release. Each of those chips sells for $30,000/each, so that means they spent $1.5BN to actually develop it...with lots of $$$s from the Chinese government. |
| their LLMs are open source so their claims are easy to validate...hard to cheat when their result can be easily duplicate. |
