Last year, that would not have gotten you in. I’m assuming it’s becoming harder, not easier to get in. I’m curious why you thought those stats were high enough? I’m not trying to be mean, just genuinely curious. |
| Why didn’t they email the kids??? |
| 35-42% |
Maybe you can enlighten us where you found the JMU GPA stats for last year. The JMU website lists the 50% ACT range at 26-31. |
| Acceptance is very school dependent, and in my Fairfax County school Naviance data (McLean/Langley), a 3.6 gpa is not a safety or a slam dunk by any means. Even with a 34 ACT. |
My kid applied Honors, but hasn't heard a peep. Is that what you mean by Honors still pending? |
| Considered deferral a rejection. |
| Hopefully, this thread doesn't turn into 2 or 3 a-holes having a p-ssing match over some BS. |

| Admitted. FCPS. 3.8 GPA. Really strong ECs and an internship in intended field. |
| Any rejections so far? |
Yeah. I thought the HC results were also coming out in January for EA.... |
I meant my kid applied Honors, but hasn't heard a decision at all. That can't be good? FCPS, 4.06, 1320, decent ECs. |

Interesting because I'm looking at Gonzaga scattergram and last year everyone with 3.2 and over got in, regardless of test scores (scores ranged from 1030-1500 but I'm not going to check who was test optional bc there are a ton of kids who applied), So a 3.6 with 34 GPA would absolutely be a slam dunk |
