What are your favorites of Trump’s early accomplishments?

I liked that he threw out pens to the crowd. He’s very high energy, that one.

His dancing...it is so bad that it gave me a good laugh when I needed it.

Favorite accomplishment so far:

-having low tv ratings for his Inauguration
-pardoning a violent J6 insurrectionist who is now facing new gun charges

No different than what Biden did, including the two from Virginia who murdered a police officer. And let's not forget the pardoning of his criminal family members. I am so happy he is gone!

Making the DCUM crowd angry and anxious, at the same time, especially if you are a government employee. This is so much fun!

He has had a terrific start. Even his most ardent supporters like me can admit that, at times, his first term was meandering and unfocused, though unquestionably successful. (For example, before Trump, I don’t think anyone seriously thought that Roe could ever get overturned.)

But if the first two days of the second term are any indication, this is going to be a highly effective presidency. The onslaught of executive orders has been truly a sight to behold. I mean, he revoked LBJ’s Executive Order 11246, which was one of the starting points of affirmative action and discriminatory hiring practices in this country—this was an order from 1965! He appears to truly be working to right many of the systemic injustices deep-rooted in society, not simply tinkering on the edges. (And I am happy about Executive Order 11246 despite being a minority because I don’t doubt my ability to succeed, even on a level playing field.)

This has been truly inspirational—I’ve been glued to my TV and X trying to keep up with it all. What have been your favorite early accomplishments?

Yes, we know "minority" people who are not black are happy. This is what you voted for.

Trump let more than 1600 out of jail who were convicted already. Biden's were protection against future retribution .

Far and away, this is the most amusing.

But in all seriousness, I’m grateful and heartened that he released the J6 political prisoners and pardoned them. That was a wrong that desperately needed righting. He said he would do it, and he kept his word.

In the weeks/months/years ahead, I expect him to square up with those who’ve put our republic in such a perilous condition during the previous administration. He’s got a lot of work to do, and he’s moving fast. And as we’ve already seen with the revocation of so many swamper security clearances, he’s taking the gloves off.

Maintain course and speed, Mr President.

“Retribution” = prosecution for crimes committed.

Remember kids - accepting a pardon is an acknowledgment of guilt. It’s a guilty plea. So when you get called to testify this summer, there’s no 5th Amendment privilege to assert.

But you can STILL be charged with perjury if the court or congress thinks you’re lying! The pardon doesn’t cover new crimes - just the ones you’re already guilty of as condition of the pardon.

Why do you hate police so much? Their unions all decried it.

The J6 people are scum and should have tried as traitors. I don’t get how you are ok with people attacking the seat of government and spreading human feces. Maybe it’s something you do at home?

What has actually been accomplished? Most of the EO's are unconstitutional or meaningless. I'm still waiting for egg prices to come down, I guess I'll settle for increased drug prices woohoo!

And Trump let them out of jail. He pardoned them. Biden mostly communed death penalty sentences. MAGA doesn’t understand how these are different.
