Biden's were protection against future retribution . [/quote] “Retribution” = prosecution for crimes committed. Remember kids - accepting a pardon is an acknowledgment of guilt. It’s a guilty plea. So when you get called to testify this summer, there’s no 5th Amendment privilege to assert. But you can STILL be charged with perjury if the court or congress thinks you’re lying! The pardon doesn’t cover new crimes - just the ones you’re already guilty of as condition of the pardon. [/quote]
