Feeling of pending dread

Yes, I'm hoping that what is coming is less taxation and less Big Brother Knows Best from the government with regard to social issues, along with many other improvements over the vision brought to us by the crazies on the far left.

The current nightmare is being extended to 2029 with yet another elderly unfit president who also has zero integrity. Not cool. Do better America!

American voters are all fruitcakes!!

I’m OP. I’m a moderate. I’ve noted for both Rs and Ds in my life. I’d be perfectly happy with a Romney type candidate and quite liked Hogan. I’m terrified of the next 4 years.

I bet you were optimistic on Biden’s inauguration thinking he would be the candidate of moderation and a return to sanity. You were wrong then and you’re wrong now to be terrified.

You haven’t seen the hundreds of weekly posts from the person who says both republicans and democrats suck and all
American voters suck?

They repeat that sentiment in various forms multiple times per thread. They also never say who they think would make a good president and how they would reform or improve anything. It’s really weird. Calling Americans “fruitcakes” because they exercise their right to vote is a new one.

Personally I think Biden did a good job with what he was handed coming out of COVID and the previous Trump admin. And he was no Bernie.

Hey Jacob Chansley. How’s the vegan menu in prison? Good luck on the pardon. Don’t get your hopes up.

Some are fruitcakes. 99% are definitely careless and misguided.

Folks know what’s coming but don’t want to admit it and I have this out in the bottom of my stomach of just how crazy the next 4 years are going to be. With news that deportation raids will start on Tuesday and the distraction that is the TikTok ban, it feels like we’re just passively moving into oligarchy. Where are the pussyhats of 2017? Where is the resistance? I’m truly truly scared for what is about to come our way…

People are and have been protesting in various ways. This forum is maga heavy so hope you can find your peeps elsewhere. People actually voted for a convicted felon and J6ist!!!! rip our great US of A.

The difference this time is that people are not going to expend energy expressing their dismay.

Trump won. Trump made a lot of promises to get votes.

Trump will need to focus on basic POTUS responsibilities. He needs to balance the budget. Provide Americans with an health care plan that is superior to Obamacare. He needs to resolve the unrest in the Middle East and bring Russia’s invasion of
Ukraine to an end. He needs to lower grocery prices and half energy prices. He needs to turn China into a fair trading partner. And much more.

All of us need to hold him accountable for those promises.

All of us need to hold ourselves accountable and our two major parties accountable or else 2028 will bring us something as bad as or worse than the recent Trump/Biden election debacles.

If you think Biden did a good job as president (literally only 25 percent of he American public agrees with you according to Gallup) then I definitely take your “terrified” position with a grain of salt.
