How much did you pay for senior high school photos? Do you send one as part of college application?

There might be a place on the online app to attach random documents but nobody is going to pay attention to a digital photograph. You might as well attach a picture of a celebrity.

No, it has no bearing on admissions.

It was a joke, and hilarious.

Haha. I heart you.

You can do the yearbook photo free of charge. Other photo costs vary (how many outfit changes/photos do you want and how many copies at what size).

Absolutely NO to any photos with college applications

College applications are submitted online and rarely offer a way to supply a photo. Once the student has been accepted to a university and started the registration process to attend, the school may ask for a photo to use for the student ID.

Same and paid even less. One school head shot. Yearbook photo. And there was one other pose we liked. It’s an off-site photo studio the school uses.

Male- private HS. Not more than $160 total. They wear their own suit jacket and tie.

I hate those cheesy senior photos shoots with their college stuff in it too or all the poses

Formal yearbook pics - waited till they went on sale after graduation and spent $65 to get the digital images.

Senor pics with photographer - $450 for the shoot and 20 digital images.

Didn't send them to school. Used them for graduation announcements/party invites.

Short answer....nothing and no

For son, will not spend that much. Will find a high school senior with a camera.

May be middle ground for an excellent photographer though I used one recently and the photoshoot was a fraction of that.

But for HS, I don’t probably spent a total of $140 for the MCPS

I didn’t go senior pictures for any of mine, they seem so silly and useless now. Years ago, before social media and phones with cameras, I think they played a role. Now, certainly not.
And certainly not part of a college application unless maybe going fur modeling or ?? Not sure

Shop around. Changing outfits, pictures in the park with your dog and glamour shots are all upgrades. My son's had a few pictures in a suit done at the photographer's studio.. I bought 1 8X10 and a few 5x7 sizes. You do not need to send formal pictures to every relative.

Both my kids had the option for St. Olaf. Both took advantage of it and used a picture from their senior photo shoot— because both were musical and we got some nice shots with/ playing their instruments. I did think it was odd at the the time that they had the option. But, we went with it.
