Zuckerberg, like Musk and many Silicon Valley billionaires, is somewhere on the spectrum. He doesn't seem capable of empathy. The fact that facebook, twitter/x, instagram, WhatsApp are controlled by two billionaires with zero emotional IQ is not good. I wouldn't be surprised if they gobble up TikTok too. The fact that Zuckerberg and Musk own nearly all social media platforms makes things very Orwellian.

It's such a dramatic rebrand and carries such a big risk of aging extremely poorly very fast. I get that Elon is like this - but Elon has always been like this. What is in it for zuck??? Is this some kind of midlife crisis?

The midlife crisis thing is interesting. He’s always been without a moral compass so nothing new there.

But yeah. It does look like he feels he’s missing something. Maybe he’s realizing that after a certain point money isn’t that important? I often consider that it’s actually quite difficult to be a celebrity/powerful person because you have to assume that people are only trying to use you.

100% disagree. In the few days afterward, FB has turned into the National Enquirer. I suddenly started getting blatantly fake news. Elon is buying a college football team I follow. There's a reprise of Golden Girls with famous actresses. There's an AI photo of Meghan Markle with her fake daughter.
