Alexandria Soccer Association Reviews

All the "moving to the area" posts are trolls

That said, if your kid is at MLS Next level, I'd assume individual development path is the priority and not W's and L's of teams

Trolls or ASA staff attempting to do damage control.

Why would ASA staff make the original post?
Are you also saying individual development is not the priority?

Sounds like being on a winning team is where your priority rests, so your kid's individual performance is sugar-coated

Would not recommend. Decisions are made with a lot of family politics and this is why they are struggling. Coaching is inconsistent.

Hahaha i'm a troll AND work for ASA now...amazing! Yeah no one moves in or out of DC...especially in the summer on 3-4 year rotations.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. I think all clubs have problems so that is no surprise to me. Their teams struggling at the moment is concerning, though.

Do you have an experience where SYC or Arlington (closest from what I can tell...) was better? All clubs have problems with coaching and politics so your experience doesn't necessarily surprise me. It would be great to hear that you left and had a better experience somewhere else.

All the leadership, management and coaches are related to one family?

I wouldn't listen to the "struggling" posts...poster wouldn't know (U14 and below not published). Re: U15-19...only one MLSN age group is clearly struggling, but the mid-Atlantic division is tough.

Here's the coaching slate. For the most part, the coaches are experienced and good.

well, if records are important to your picking a team for your kid, you can easily find how ASA is doing in U13 and 14 by looking at schedule, so what's above is not totally accurate. Poster could absolutely know if they looked up ASA's schedule.

Records are important to me because I believe better teams get more eyes on them. But it isn't the only way and not the only consideration. Development, mentorship, history of academy/D1 placements...all important too.

Correct. Try here as well: https://league.northleft.com/standings. They are struggling.

You're not just a liar, but a simpleton (really believe your nonsense is persuasive).

Right, it seems "fine" from the website, as you would expect, but add context to that. Ask, for instance, any 09 or 2010 to catch up on the coaching debacle. It's not a good story to tell.
