Which day, dear? 1945?

Mid 90s. Knew two grads. One was a honors, no AP, B+ gal who just wanted to get married. Total gold digger. The other was gf of a close friend who he described as ‘kinda stupid’. I know it’s known as an entrepreneur biz school but honestly, if you could get into any of the T20 biz schools or even Carroll at BC - would you go to Babson?

Babson is easily a top 20 undergrad b-school. Jesus Christ.

Only in your own mind. According to poets and quants it isn’t in the Top 50!

Really. Then why on DCUM is Babson never mentioned in the same conversation as Wharton Ross or Stern? Or Marshall, McIntyre, Mendoza? Literally. Never. Ever. Mentioned in the same sentence. ??

Because they didn’t get enough survey responses…Berkeley, UT Austin and other schools aren’t ranked either.

My understanding is that Babson has many students who have family businesses and are next in line to take over the business. Interestingly, one of the 2 kids I know who’ve gone there falls into that category. The other is a wannabe entrepreneur and was drawn to their reputation for entrepreneurship.

No one cares about Babson if they can get into a real university with a real business school. No one. You’re delusional

Ok. moving onto Babson. I like to think of: Babson Olin Wellesley (BOW) since you can cross-register. Reminds me of a smaller East Coast Claremont Colleges.

Babson has a program where the school loan students money to do a startup. Combine that with Olin for some engineering classes this looks like a good deal on paper.

But the real question is where it stands on outcomes vs. other business schools. WSJ had it ranked number 2 overall, but that was significantly driven by outcomes vs. other schools with many majors vs. Babson with only business. If you look at this business salary report (select bachelors), you can see it is very good at T42, but there are a number of schools that rank above.
