Supposedly really good business program. My son applied and will visit if he is accepted.

I grew up not far from there. Wellesley itself is pretty suburban/far from Boston but Wellesley College is walkable to downtown. Babson is not near any retail & is not near the T (Wellesley has the last 2 stops on the green line). You really should visit campus.

I grew up in Wellesley - this is true. It’s in a quiet area of town near the country club and isn’t walkable to shops or restaurants. Quick uber to town or to the train to Boston. Without traffic it’s about 20 mins from downtown Boston but there is always traffic. Nice campus feel! Lots of kids have cars.

Not sure how much has changed but babson was a school for the unintelligent B students back in the day.

Rich frat bros who roofie and privileged rich girls. Tons of wealthy international students, too. DD goes to Wellesley and they have cross registration. That’s the stereotype of them on campus and from what she’s seen when she visited.

No it has always had a top business program and I knew kids there in the. 90s. Great school if you want to study business with great job placement. The kids I knew there went into Boston a lot and had fun.

Mid 90s. Knew two grads. One was a honors, no AP, B+ gal who just wanted to get married. Total gold digger. The other was gf of a close friend who he described as ‘kinda stupid’. I know it’s known as an entrepreneur biz school but honestly, if you could get into any of the T20 biz schools or even Carroll at BC - would you go to Babson?

We discouraged our dc from applying. It's only business courses, no humanities or STEM.
