Hilton Head at spring break with teens

My family has rented a house in Sea Pines through the realty company there and brought dogs, FWIW. (Not me personally but my aunt / uncle / cousin).

We have found pet friendly rentals in HHI, no problem. But I have to say for SB I would probably do Kiawah because I find the resort experience better when it's not full beach weather. You could always stop in Savannah on the way down - both the Kimpton Brice and the Olde Harbour Inn downtown are pet friendly.

Kiawah is another good option and since it’s a resort, a ton of planned daily activities with rental condos available.

Just keep the puppy leashed at all times, there are gators.

Umm… there are resorts on HHI, and good access in both directions to forts, lighthouses, museums in both Charleston and Savannah.

I am sure you know this, but you will not be able to swim in ocean. Make sure your pool is heated. They are "seasonally" heated which can vary. I made this mistake. Hotels will be though.
