Best Short Term Skin Improvement?

For the long term sunscreen and tret. But ease into tret, it can make your skin look worse before it gets better (at least that was my experience)

As someone who is in her first month of tretinoin, I agree. I'm still purging.

Seeing all these medspa links with sculpting and peels and lasers; it’s overwhelming. Any recs for a consult-type cosmetic dermatologist to do the things you all mention in, say, McLean/Arlington/upper NW?

You need to ask your clinical dermatologist about cosmetic stuff. Mine is the same.

NP. Can you say more about this? What was the source of unevenness? Acne, age spots, other? How soon did you see a difference?

Who can I go to/what should I ask to do? What’s the best bang for your buck with this timeline? Virginia-side, but willing to go DC/MD. I’m not really price sensitive for this event. I am lazy and skeptical I will keep it up but whatever? I also would love for someone experienced to give me some advice, a consult, but I don’t see that offered at the MedSpas I have seen? It’s more like: what service do you want and I dunno.

I recommend taking a hydrolized collagen supplement with Type 1 collagen in it. Add it to your coffee or tea each morning. I would add one more scoop than the directions advise. So if the directions state add 2 scoops, you should add 3. Your skin will become more youthful looking in a couple of weeks.

Also, bovine collagen is best.

Sparkle Boost Plus is my favorite. Dose & Co. is also good. These were both recommended by dermatologists I follow. I also recommend taking a time release Vitamin C supplement, because vitamin C is needed for collagen production.

I just ordered Codeage Multi Collagen Peptides which contains collagen types 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10. I’m interested to see how I like it.

Make an appointment with a cosmetic dermatologist. Dr. Thomas Adrian at the Center for Laser Surgery is awesome and will recommend treatments based on your concerns. Botox, PDL, and Fraxel have made the biggest impact for me.

Facial massage. Not a regular facial. Go to Thai Origins spa in Arlington or any Thai massage or Asian massage place and get a facial massage. You can see videos online and so it yourself too. Drink water, eat arugala and blueberries, no alcohol. Good moisturizer and skin oil.

Sandra Oulmas is the best in the area for skin! She treats patients of all ages and skin tones and her speciality is laser. Her treatments really make a difference in a short time frame. She also offers free consultations and she's the sweetest thing! Never over sold products to me and has always gone above and beyond during my treatment sessions. I highly recommend her and her team.
