Keep Lexus or Get Tesla?

^^ Just want to add that we purchased cars without loans.

I love my Tesla, but don't put all your eggs in one basket. Get the Lexus, in case you need a long distance drive, during snow storm, emergency, blah blah blah.... Gas stations are everywhere for 5 minutes fill up.

What about a high-end model of some other plug-in hybrid? Then you could run off pure electric for a certain number of miles and if you need more, it switches to gasoline.

I love Elon Musk but don’t like Teslas. Interesting.

I don’t like the domination of The Screen, I don’t want to change gears or HvAC on a screen, and I want a stalk for turn signals.

So I’d buy the Toyota as it comes off lease, or maybe get the hybrid version. I have two hybrids now.

There are a lot of better EVs vs Tesla on the market right now. Tesla sales are declining vs other EVs. Tesla is just not keeping up with the competition.

You should really look around. Plus the lease deals are pretty insane. The Hyundai has EV leases $160 a month and $3-4k down. Volvo xe30 are selling like crazy(small car). Polestar, BMW, Genesis, Lucid Air(over 400 miles per charge), etc.

You can also look a year old cars and save a boatload. The EV market place has really changed.

How much is the insurance on those cars? Since you don't care about money, go get the car. You can always get rid of it (maybe not) if you don't like it.
I don't know anyone who doesn't love their Tesla. I love the stock as it allowed me to retire very early.

Tesla is a meme stocks. If you have not sold it you have no profits.

- DW drives the Lexus 2025 LX700h,

- 21 years old DD drives the 2021 NX350h,
-19 years old DS drives the 2021 NX350h,

super reliable cars.

Umm the LX700h isn't even on sale yet, it was only announced 2 months ago. Very strange thing to lie about.

I would not choose to give Elon money now, especially with so many other options available.

You couldn't pay me to drive a Tesla, and Lexus is an overpriced Toyota.

Rivian all the way

We own two Teslas. We’ve taken them on many long trips - there are Tesla superchargers pretty much everywhere. There might be better EVs, I really don’t know, but we have the Y and the 3 and are very happy, even though I dislike Musk. I’d probably still buy another Tesla because they’ve been good, reliable cars for our family.

Toyota and not an EV.

Obviously you don’t get a Tesla.

It’s not even debatable, of course a Tesla. What is this 1995?

Putting aside the Elon issue. Tesla design is just tired now. Equivalent to buying a Corolla
