How much are you getting quoted for snow shovelling driveway, sidewalk and walk way? Got a quote for $400 LOL

I tipped them but they are paid well by company. Will come back tomorrow to touch up after end of snow. Probably $250.
This is one of those times it's good to be UMC HHI.

People like you are why handymen charge 500 to caulk a window

$700 for snow removal at your house? We are paying less than that to have our landscapers do the snow at the apartments we own.

Where exactly are you all posting from with these quotes/prices?

I would definitely pay $250 but no one has materialized sadly.

How long are your driveways?

We make seven figures and I think you’re nuts.

I wonder how much the guys who work for the landscaper actually get for the work and how much gets kept by the company.

Seconding the neighborhood kid route.

We had four men offer to shovel this morning for $100, not a bad price but not good timing since it was still coming down heavily and it was obvious the work would need to be done again later on. 5-car garage, so plenty of parking area and driveway to clear. I did it later myself, in two stages so I could take a break in between, using a single-stage electric snowblower. I admit to looking online afterwards at more powerful self-propelled 2-stage electric units!

Neighborhood kids are asking $50. Find some teenagers who are excited about making some cash!

This. $400 IS ridiculous if there are kids off school looking to make some extra cash

Two sweet teenaged boys came by and quoted $80. I have my own teen boy who will be doing it for free though. If you have the option, let the teens do it, they are so excited to have pocket money.

We are in our 70s and both have bad backs. I shoveled for 35 years here. Last time I was in pain for a week even though I use good form with shoveling.
Landscaper is ripoff but they show up. Car, walkways, stairs, everything safe for us to use. I figure it's cheaper than medical bills from falling or shoveling,
There are no neighborhood kids out shoveling or looking for work.
Happy to be nuts.

Do you live in a ‘hood where people in a truck or who walk w a shovel don’t come by to offer to clear your snow? This isn’t abnormal in Potomac.
