How much are you getting quoted for snow shovelling driveway, sidewalk and walk way? Got a quote for $400 LOL

Someone just stopped by and asked for $400 lol its a standard double driveway, sidewalk and walk way, I was like no thanks

I'm paying 250 same size. It's two adults doing it for me, same guys that do my lawn care. I can afford it, they will use rock salt and do a good job, clean off my car and it's freaking cold out. They also have to drive here. It's hard labor. If a lawyer can charge $250 fir a thought in a shower I am more than willing to pay a hardworking man a fair wage

I will do it myself. It's good exercise. Not paying someone else to do something that's beneficial to me. But I do think $400 is ridiculous.

The bigger question is why are you opening your door for grifters?

You should give them at least 30% tip too. Then referring them to everyone in your neighborhood.

$400 isn’t ridiculous. It’s tough work.

What?! A $75 tip? That’s crazy! This has got to be a joke.

Neighborhood kids are asking $50. Find some teenagers who are excited about making some cash!

My teenager and his friend are currently shoveling driveways in our neighborhood for $50. They've done 8 houses, so far, but have so many more people asking them...houses are recommending them to neighbors...that I think they won't be able to get them all done today.

We have a single driveway, but my DS just asked if he shoveled the driveway, walk way, and sidewalk, would I give him $20? I said yes, but I will probably give him $40. Find a teenager. Most would be more than willing for $50.

Just paid $80 to shovel a long double driveway and walkway (no sidewalks) in Rockville. 2 guys who’ve moved on to a neighbors house.

My landscaper does snow removal. 2 guys showed up about an hour ago. Took them an hour to get here. Did car, front and side sidewalks, deck, patio. I will be billed probably $450. I tipped them but they are paid well by company. Will come back tomorrow to touch up after end of snow. Probably $250.
This is one of those times it's good to be UMC HHI.

NP. I have a heart condition. My neighbor offered to lend their snowblower but someone showed up willing to shovel.
