Snow days impact on MAP tests

3rd grade winter MAP-R has been used as the test gate for the CES lottery for a few years.

3rd grade winter map-m is also what is used to determine if a child is placed in compacted math.

My child was supposed to have Map-r tomorrow and Map-M on Tuesday but we got an email that both are being moved to next week.

I believe it has been the 3rd grade spring MAP-M that is used for the central identification recommendation for Math 4/5, with schools fine tuning that (or not, at their discretion) at the end of the school year or over the summer.

the most important map is fall 8th grade - admission to HS magnets. not a lottery.

nobody said it was determinative but that it is a more important score than maps for CES and middle school lotteries. at least this is not a lottery.

Relax. There isn't anything to practice. It's an adaptive assessment to see where your kid is at currently. They take it 3 times each year.

Push your kid to read challenging texts and they will do great on MAP-R. I teach in a magnet but I still have students who never read outside of school.

It’s worth practicing for math. Just google Map-M practice.

There are no practice tests. My son is on the spectrum with low processing speed and he had extra time thanks to his IEP. That's all.

No he did not. The MAP is untimed.
