| Looks like we're headed into school closings for Monday and Tuesday. We're supposed to do MAP testing on those days. What's the plan for taking the tests? IIRC a couple of years back there were snow days and they just didn't test that year ( not sure if it was cogat or map) |
| They'll be rescheduled for later dates. There's a long window of time to take the tests and the county can extend it if needed |
| Are you sure? The only MAP I’m missing is from the month covid lockdown in spring 2020 |
| Is this what parents actually sit around worrying about? |
| It will be administered the first full day back. Where can we get practice tests? |
For real lol There will be no testing all week. School will be closed Monday-Wed and delayed Thurs and Fri |
Relax. There isn't anything to practice. It's an adaptive assessment to see where your kid is at currently. They take it 3 times each year. |

Literally the only MAPs that ever matter are the one that is counted for the CES lottery and the one that is counted for the middle school criterion-based magnet lottery. The rest are informative but not determinative. Like these upcoming ones. Just bail and chill.
|
This round doesn't count for anything? Oh that's why I asked about it. I thought it was for the lottery |
MS lottery uses the fall MAP. Not sure about CES but I'm sure others on here can weigh in. |
| The winter MAP, to my knowledge, doesn't "count" for anything. |
| For 5th grade, Map-M helps to determine their 6th grade class. |
| I am only wanting a practice test bc DS is autistic and a practice would be helpful |
There are no practice tests. My son is on the spectrum with low processing speed and he had extra time thanks to his IEP. That's all. |
| I think there are some online sample questions. Could be useful for a SN kid or new kid who just wants to be familiar with the way the tests work. Do not know the URL so maybe Google. |
