Flight is three hours. Trip to hotel is around 15 minutes. No car, we will be Ubering everywhere.

Yes, in this case, it makes sense to travel Friday.

+1. Friday without a doubt.

Friday night 100%

Friday night for sure. I am absolutely not in the leave on Saturday morning camp; those people are not my friends.

I wouldn't because even if the flight is on time, you probably won't be settled into the hotel until midnight. That wouldn't be enough sleep for me, and I'm the one who normally stays up latest. It would be way past bedtime for the rest of my family members, and our moods the next day would reflect it, thus starting the vacation out on a very bad foot. I care more about calm and everyone getting along than maximizing time at the location.

Note that I wasn't always like this, but I've evolved to look at things this way. YMMV given your family's dynamics and sleep needs.

The way I see it a day of work sucks and traveling to a destination sucks. Might as well combine them into one sucky day and sleep in Saturday

I won’t count Friday, but the trip is S-F.

For 250, I would. I had a similar option when booking my tickets but it was as closer to $1000 so chose not to.

Are you checking luggage?
Is the 11PM the time for flight lands or your estimate of when you arrive at the destination?

DH and our 14yo. No luggage. 11pm is the estimated arrival time of the flight.

I vote Sat arrival then. But I hate getting in super late.
