No matter how much money you have, you seem unhappy.

The median is a better indicator of how he is doing in comparison to his peers, and he’s probably doing great. Contrary to popular belief on here, most people aren’t net worth millionaires, much less millionaires in liquid assets.

I'm not OP, but I use the minimum of Redfin, Zillow and average neighborhood sales in the past two years. The houses in our neighborhood are all pretty similar, but Zillow was the lowest the past two years anyway.

Ballpark the price your house would sell for and subtract how much you owe on your mortgage.
