If it’s soon maybe Sarasota/Longboat Key

The islands all feel like the vibe would be too couple’ish or at least fir a group for a solo trip.

We're loving Miami right now on a mini break. Tons of great art, restaurants and hotel options. Beach and weather are fab. We're staying mid beach Miami beach and walking everywhere.

You didn't mention when you're planning to take this solo trip (so jealous, btw!) but note that Bermuda has the same climate as North Carolina, so it's not the best bet for a winter getaway. To really get the most out of its beautiful beaches, best to go in the summer.

Be careful of red tide on the Gulf Coast of Florida, near Sarasota. Make sure to check the reports if you're planning on spending time at the beach. It is here at some beaches even in January.
