Tuckahoe vs Nottingham

Anonymous
These schools have almost nearly identical demographics; Nottingham maybe on average a teensy bit wealthier due to the neighborhoods covered but not by much. They’ve both been around forever. Both have incredibly long standing teachers and parent communities. You are crazy to pick your house based on being in one of the other. Decide based on the house. These elementary schools are just not that different. And no one on here can compare them because no one has kids in either. The reality is that by the time they get to MS and HS, no one is saying: oh little Johnny must’ve come from Tuckahoe because he’s so much better prepared.

They both suck, but if you’re keen on moving here, than you’ll probably be fine with it. Unless you need help, lol

Wrong that Nott has longstanding teachers, there has been soooo much turnover of teachers there. I don't think you know what you're talking about.

I feel like people mostly post here when they are unhappy about something (myself included). I think you are either going to be happy in N Arlington elementary schools, or you are not. I wouldn't split hairs about 2 schools as similar as the one you described. Let the best house for your family be the deciding factor.

Doubt they are resolved since the issue is the principal and she's still there. Avoid.

Agree and if op wants specifics, I’m happy to share some.

Sorry but I could not disagree more. There are actually hug differences between APS schools that are largely driven by their administration. Differences are especially glaring for students in special education. OP is doing the right thing by doing their due diligence.

There are definitely people who are knowledgeable about both schools. Clearly you are not one of them, doesn't mean others are not.
