Putting away Christmas decorations for NYE gathering?

I’d feel compelled to remove it. I might leave up a few white lights, but that’s it.

It depends on how much time you have. De-decorating the house is a big and messy job. I put everything away last weekend, but I didn’t have anything else going on.

I’m removing all the decorations except for the tree and the outside . I’ll take the tree down on January 1.

My personal goal is I make sure stuff is put away by my kid's late January birthday so.we can decorate for that. January can be a tough month and I'll.let the kids keep the lights up.

Any Christmas floral arrangements or outdoor wreaths get swapped for more fun flowers and we switch the outdoor wreath to a traditional Japanese new year decoration for good luck.

Nice ideas... will try incorporating some whites and anything shiny that I have...

I think you should keep them up so that they can be enjoyed more.

Plus Christmas decor makes for a fun + festive New Year’s vibe too!
