Putting away Christmas decorations for NYE gathering?

Doing last minute NYE happy hour at our house with about a dozen friends. I usually take down Christmas decorations in the first so it’s still up….help me make up my mind on keeping up or putting away.

We’re leaving most of ours up for our NYE gathering. Putting away some to cut back on clutter.

We remove overt Christmas decoration but leave some white lights and greenery and add in some NYE sparkle.

I don’t even celebrate Christmas and I think it would add a festive atmosphere to keep the decorations up.

Team leave it up! We leave the tree up but swap out things like tablecloths, linens and candleholders that are reds or plaids for whites and metallics. Any Christmas floral arrangements or outdoor wreaths get swapped for more fun flowers and we switch the outdoor wreath to a traditional Japanese new year decoration for good luck.
