My hair has no life and just looks dry, thin and like straw

Clarifying shampoo once a week, check water hardness and avoid air drying.

You can get in shower water filter. Trader Joe’s has argan oil. You may need a gentler shampoo.

Agree, have your water tested or may need a filter. My sister moved and had same issue with hair and found it was her water. That said, could be age too. You can easily get a prescription for oral minoxidil (rogaine) online that can help. Take collagen supplements and experiement with hair care products. My derm said nutrafol/vegamor was a waste, but sounds like some people have had lots of success on.

You need to start using Olaplex (use the whole line), k18 treatments and get a dyson Airwrap or Airstrait.

Have you tried taking some of the vitamins that helps with skin, hair and nails?

I have thin, fine hair and Ghost by Verb (shampoo and conditioner) is pretty good. Oral Minoxidil has also been somewhat helpful.

Clip on extensions work fine unless your hair is unusually thin.

Me too, OP.

I’ve lived in the same house, with the same water for 20 years, but since starting menopause 6 years ago, my hair has grown thinner, drier, and straw-like. Doesn’t matter what shampoo, conditioner, or product I use, blow dry it, curl it, straighten it, whatever. Or hair length. Ten minutes after styling it’s back to looking ratty.

Sorry I don’t have any advice for you, just commiserating.

Well, HRT would help but don’t kid yourself it’s a miracle cure. Topical minoxidil but really oral minoxidil and/or finasteride.
