JOs vs Junior Championships

If anyone is doubling up it’s a small handful of people. JOs is the big meet for 14us. Junior Champs is the JV championship for HS kids, while Senior Champs is the top meet for them (although they usually focus on top HS meets and NCSAs and swim off events at senior champs). Everyone has a championship meet and it works nicely

One small point of order here. The meets with only "No Faster Than" times (Spring Champs at Fairlands, for example) are more like the JV championships for year round high school swimmers. Senior Champs are the elite local USA swim meet and Junior Champs are in the middle. Agree that it is great that all ability levels have an end of SC season championship to work towards and compete at.

If a 12 year old has cut times for both PVS 14U champs and JOs, which one is better to enter?

Those are referring to the same meet.

It’s a champs meet for the 15-18 year olds who aren’t fast enough to swim at Senior Champs.
