She complained recently about not liking frizzy hair so I got her a product for that which she was happy about and my husband got her book by a nature writer she likes. My SIL gave her the complete collection of John Muir’s works which she was also excited about. We’re in the Bay Area and tonight I’m taking her to Hamilton this week - but she knew about that too.

My daughter also loves nature. I want to look at the John Muir books to see if I think she’d like them, but would you please tell us the name of the other nature writer she likes?

Portable water resistant Buetooth speaker. She can take it to practice apparently, in addition to using it when she has friends over.

Dandy hoodies. These are pricey, so an indulgence.

Dandy bag. She's always asking for bags to carry her stuff to practice, and this will work perfectly. It also matches one of her hoodies.

College merch - Apparently she loves Florida Gators merch. Who knew?

Mascara kit from Bloomies - It's one of the few makeup things she uses consistently, and these are generally pricey, purchased individually.

Agh, that’s what they are called! My tween DD is at a uniform school but kept seeing the Dandy sweatshirts on girls at dance and desperately wanted one but was too shy to ask the other girls what they were. Thank you, parent of teen, for posting this!

You're welcome! They're really nice quality, too. DD says to wash them before wearing, so they 'hang right'.

Try ordering the annual compilation "Best American Science and Nature Writing: 2024" from Amazon. Guest editor Bill McKibben. It consolidates articles from periodicals like the New Yorker.

A Pink Palm Puff hoodie. She sent us the link that she wanted it but didn’t think we would buy it. I was very surprised this was the favorite gift of the year.
