Montgomery County has so many great rec centers- some with pools and hot tubs. Try one of them before committing to a gym! |
I love OneLife. I've been going for two years, and go to a few different clubs. The instructors may teach at multiple clubs, so you can follow an instructor, or choose to stay at one home gym. OP you will fit right in. There is a mix of young, old, middle age, and all levels of fitness. I prefer classes because you don't have to go wander the gym looking for machines, or treadmills. You go in, start class and leave. There are all types of classes - yoga, barre, pilates, water classes, dance, strength training, mobility, stretch, step, etc. Classes do fill up, and have a wait list. You have to reserve your spot, and registration opens 24 hours before the class. Dance Classes - official descriptions (there may be other classes, but these are the two I know of). 60 Minute Duration Medium Intensity Experience -All (fitness levels) Zumba - A world beats influenced dance style class that combines high energy moves and dance combinations that are designed to make your workout fun and make you feel great. Dance Rhythms Vibz - Cardio dance fitness class with worldwide rhythms. Get ready to take a trip around the world and sweat your way through this athletic, empowering and fun workout with an Afro fee. |
The owner put up parking signs in front of the space, and there have been no issues since. |
Yes this!! |
I recommend the county's rec centers. The fitness rooms with machines and weights are still free. All you need is a pass from them. Some rec centers are better than others with newer equipment. Search for Montgomery county recreation centers online.
Then start walking. Walk anywhere- outside or on the treadmill or the elliptical. Keep walking. If you get tired, slow down but don't stop. Then monitor what you eat. Read about healthy eating habits. Do light weights later on after you loose a few pounds. |
