Is this Harmless ribbing or Offensive?

Mom C and you do not have an easy relationship, don't mix well probably but that doesn't mean either Mom A or Mom C is wrong. Kid A's Mom may not want kid growing up to be a jerk, so she can reprimand if she likes.

Cribbed from vague memories of "Defending the Caveman" :

If a woman has a big nose that she's sensitive about, then her friends will not only refrain from commenting on it, they will actively avoid any references to anything vaguely related to noses at all, because her caring friends want to make the big nosed woman comfortable, and being aware of her sensitivity is the way to do it.

If a man has a big nose that he's sensitive about, then his friends will nickname him Big Nose, and bring up giant schnozzes at the drop of a hat, because his caring friends want to make the big nosed man comfortable, and desensitizing him is the way to do it.

Mom C should be declared an official target.

Sorry, it’s rude. But the kid is 6 and still learning manners. Parent was right to call out and correct. I’d call my own 6 yr old out if they said this and I heard.

It’s mean to comment about peoples appearance. I would be mad if my child made this comment.

“Sally, you have broccoli teeth!”
Sally checks her teeth, gets the broccoli out. Done.

If you’re making a comment about someone’s appearance that cannot be changed in a minute, that’s rude and should not be said:
“Sally, your ears are pointy like a goblin. You have goblin ears!”
No one is getting plastic surgery with in a minute, hour or even a month. Comment was rude.

Even if they can change it, it's rude.

So you’re one of those that let friends walk around with spinach in their teeth and their fly wide open? Wow. 😳

You're hairstyle is ugly and your voice is grating.

Don't want to marry a caveman.

I don’t care about B & C.

This is between Mom A & Kid A. If she feels that’s inappropriate talk for her 6 yr old, she will handle it.

It's hilarious. I would commend the kid for coming up with a creative insult, instead of the boring usual.

But that's just me. My kids are 19 and 14, with good manners. There's room for humor and light-heartedness in life.

If in the course of conversation the child attributed his own uncanny hearing to his goblin ears that would be lighthearted, funny, and clever.

Old enough and ugly enough…
